I am wondering how those of you who are BTs learned. Because you have to have a certain level of knowledge to lead an observant life.

BH my DH and were able to take off time from work (me 6 months, he took off a year) and learn in Israel. My husband learned in yeshiva full time. Someone watched my daughter while I learned about 30 hours a week, until my son was born. We lived in a very religious neighborhood, so learned a lot from our friends and neighbors too. I feel that gave us a good jump start. We find it hard to keep up though now that he is working and we have 4 children ka"h.

I never formally learned with anyone. I read a ton of books and I had friends from college and shul so I always had somewhere to go for shabbos and yom tov. I learned a lot through experience.

it's funny because although dh was raised extremely frum, there are tons of things I learned that he didn't. he's always asking me questions about things he's unsure of, especially about kashrus. it's funny how much you can absorb from just sitting down and reading books about halacha.
