Mine come home from the sitter looking like they never wore the bibs I sent. It drives me crazy, especially because they're babies and I like to dress them in pastel shirts. Crying

It depends on the kid. One ds goes to school looking neat and comes home pretty much in the same condition as he left. No ripped pants knees for him, only frayed pants cuffs. My younger ds goes to school looking like he rolled out of bed and comes home looking like he has gone through the wars. For him, eating is a full body experience. His pants knees get ripped regularly and at some point (when I was buying several new pairs of pants for him per month because of the ripped knees) I resolved to find the cheapest serviceable pants for him, since why should I spend loads of dollars on something that will be ripped anyway! FYI, the French Toast uniform pants have reinforced knees and they are cheap and don't expect them to last too long, but they work!

We've always had luck with Old Navy.

IMHO, they also feel better than the French Toast.

I also like the Old Navy ones, and that is my regular purchase, but those are the one that my younger ds goes through during the year, ripping the knees to shreads on a regular basis. I agree they feel better (and they sell out fast online, too). I only resort to the french toast after my first six pairs for the year are "toast" excuse the pun.

old navy has 5t which fits my son the best. they had a sale in the begining of the year where they were the same price as frenchtoast.

The lowest price I saw for the Old Navy pants this year was 12.50 for more than 1. Now its up to 14.00 per pair for more than one. The french toast I can find for 10.00 and under (sometimes). My main problem is I start with 6 pairs of the nice pants and hope, against hope (and foolishly, I might add) that ds will change and his clothes will survive. When he disappoints me, I end up with the french toast

my son ( 3 yr old) usually comes home clean. Sometimes he has some stains (food, paint, markers) on his shirt which is fine, he gets stuff on his shirt when he's home with me.

kiddo if u sent your darling to playgroup or a babysitter with pastel colored clothing you are asking for it. oh and I forgot about the mothers who send a white outfit to PLAYGROUP what on earth is these mothers thinking.
I just strip the kids clothing off. put on any shirt and pants .. and right before the mother comes I switch. voila clean clothing. I hate mothers who send expensive outfit to playgroup.

I hope you're not serious. I'd be really upset if my kid's teacher did that.

Well, when my son was in pre-K to 1st grade, he came home filthy. He's into nature. Back then, exploring sand, dirt, and mud was a full contact sport.

Now, he in 3rd grade and his uniforms come home as an advert for markers, food, and the power of Clorox 2.

I find now he gets super filthy on Shabbos. Exploding anger

I'd be upset too ... either the parent deals with the obvious messes her kid makes - or learns to put on less expensive outfits ... but to go change the kids clothing is a bit over the top ... unless you're grandma - and even then not so sure ...
