DS will be going to playgroup, b'ezras Hashem, right after sukkos.
What would be an appropriate gift for my babysitter that has done a WONDERFUL job for over a year.
Chanukah I got a veg. chopper (she used to send home supper for ds, so that was appropriate.)
Any ideas that would she would appreciate?

I don't know your babysitter and her family/personal circumstances, but when I had the same situation I got her (she is a widow with grown kids) a set of glasses and a glass pitcher to match (at Marshalls). I also put a picture of the kids in a small picture frame. She appreciated the picture the most I think.

Thanks SV for that idea. I like the idea of the picture, but the glasses is not her style.
I would like to hear what ppl. give to babysitters.
Thanks SV will keep it in mind.

I think a lot depends on how long she has been with you, whether she's been FT/PT, as well her personality (ages, hobbies).Would be easier also if you can give us a budget range.
My previous nannies were all in mid-to late-20s non-jewish women. I got them cosmetic pouches, assortment of miniture/travel size things from Bodyshop or Lush, scented candles, some funky handbags, wool pashmina-look alike scarves, Starbucks prepaid cards, iPod prepaid cards, book store vouchers.
