I have very long sideburns that are hard to cover and the hair doesn't grow long enough to fit behind my ears. The only way to cover them is to where a sheital so close to my eyes that is is very uncomfortable. Most of the time I wear tichels or soft hats and the wispy hairs stick out near my ears making me feel silly and messy. Does anyone have ideas about how to get rid of this problem? Any ways to keep the wisps back? Is shaving or other hair removal options in this "payos" area for women allowed and would that cause hair to grow in thicker creating a bigger problem?

AFAIK, you can remove the peyos hair. I found waxing the best at home solution (albeit painful, but makes hair come in thinner eventually).

Other options include facial nair (lotion put on for 5-10 min to remove hair).

IMHO shaving is the worst option.

And if it's just wisps, I know some who basically who hair spray before putting on the sheitel to try to get them to stay up/back under the sheitel.

it's not a problem to use any method of hair removal you like to get rid of that hair. what do you normally use for facial hair? waxing, laser and electrolysis are all good options. I would stay away from shaving, which will make it grow more, or anything with chemicals, like nair, which isn't great for your skin and has to be used very often.

why wouldnt it be allowed to shave part of your hair? esp if it causes you to not be able to cover your hair well?

The question might come from the fact that men cannot remove peyos.

Either wax or laser. Don't ever shave your face.

I have the same problem since I got married. I always used to wax they payos. now I am doing laser (my mother does laser hair removal). if cost is not an issue, I would do the laser removal. if money is an issue you can do waxing, but I found that it is a never ending process.
