Isn't one or 2 gifts enough? Are you going to give piles of gifts to each other each birthday ?

I think she means in the past she has gotten him the cufflinks and watch, so she cant get those again- she is trying to avoid ppl suggesting things she cant get him.

Sometimes it helps to think out of the box a little bit. For example, I am your typical chocolate, perfume, jewelry girl, but I would be so grateful to anyone who bought me a sewing machine, oil paints/brushes/canvas or music lessons. Those aren't exactly classic gifts but are ones that are still so up my alley and I would find them so thrilling! Is your husband like that? Into carpentry? music? grilling? computer things?

would he appreciate something religious like a new becher, siddur / machzor / tehillim with his name, menorah, shtender, challah board / cover, havdallah set, etc., or is that "too functional"?
My DH definitely goes for electronics.
What about cologne?
My DH always takes a dorky plastic bag to the mikvah and I keep trying to think of something to replace it with. I don't want a see-through mesh bag, any other ideas? (Sorry to usurp your thread, OP!!!)

to loving it: what about something made on snapfish--like a book album, or personalized picture mug or something like that? they have tons of cute stuff.
punktfarkert: messenger bag? this is a tough one. what kind of stuff are we talking about? we live out of town, so my DH leaves his stuff at the mikvah

My husband bought me an ipod filled with shiurim and music of my favorite singers. I loved it because it was so personal. He really gave it thought what I liked. I really think it makes a perfect gift if he is into it.
Also I've heard of personalized panties for him and her. On the back it reads I LOVE ______. I hope this doesn't lock this thread.

I've gotten my DH a Hagaddah (his birthday is in April), and a set of machzorim for RH and YC- there's a set called machzor mikdash that has pictures and commentaries. You could also get him a slanket (it's a blanket with sleeves), or something that has to do with a hobby of his. For example, mine is into chocolate molding and baking, so I got him a dessert cookbook, a candy thermometer and a set of chocolate molds. I've also used board games (things we can do together on shabbat), paraphernalia from his favorite TV shows, and once, a box of things I picked out at Wallmart- including, a woopie cushion, a bubble maker, silly putty, and a toy truck.

It has to be something that can get wet and have wet shampoo, etc., thrown in without making the bag gross... something of a beach bag. ;-) He has shampoo, soap and plastic shower shoes in it.

all those things everyone suggested is pricy.
the op wrote cheap.
you can get (1) a nice pen, engraved, for a good price.
you can also get (2) a nice wallet, with those nice credit card looking love cards, they have such nice ones, and each time he opens it, he thinks of you... they sell for husbands, someone special.....
how about (3) a messager, ( both will enjoy)
there is also, (4) if he is on the road a lot, a car seat messager...
enjoy!
