I am looking for a long-wearing eyeliner in a nice shade of brown. I have revlon colorstay in brown, and think the color is blah. my non-waterproof eyeliner, covergirl perfect point plus, makes a nice shade of brown called espresso, but I have had trouble finding something similar that is long-wearing. any ideas? I would maybe try another color if it is something that looks great on brown eyes.

I loved my MAC fluidline- I put it on with a paintbrush, and I loved it. I used the color non-conformist- which was a purplish kind of color. Unfortunately they discontinued that color, though maybe I can still find it online. I never tried looking as after years of using, I developed an allergic reaction to it (my eyes are super sensitive and as I get older just get more and more so...). so my point is- anything purplish should look nice on brown eyes (I have brown eyes). don't go for the blah purples. or the too light. A bluish purple.

octopus, thanx for your response. dont these kind of liners require so much more effort than the self-sharpening pencil type? I dunno if I could act more stress to my mornings....

I use two different browns. One is Clinique's Cream Shaper for Eyes in Chocolate Lustre. It's a lighter brown with shimmer. The other is Estee Lauder's Double Wear Eye Pencil in Coffee, which is darker and has no shimmer. Both stay on all day, and usually last through an entire Shabbos.

Try cake liner. You can even use it with water-proof liquid instead of water.
Just a tip in general, to help your eyeliner stay on longer--put some powder eyeshadow (in the same color as liner) over the eyeliner. Also it helps if your eyelids are dry, not oily, so you can put skin color shadow under the eyeliner, or whatever eyeshadow you'd like to wear.
