it's an OOT wedding but I was wondering if it's not "fancy" enough? Any suggestions of a really nice headband?
My other option is a long pony sheitel. I guess I can do an "up-do" with it? But I really want to be comfortable.

I've seen very fancy bands that make a fall more shabbosdik but I still wouldn't wear it for a wedding, JMHO. rather see if you can work with the other wig to make it comfy.

I definitely think you can do it, depending on the band and how you do your hair.

Um, I wore a band with a full sheitl for my sister's wedding, so why wouldn't a fall work? I only own one, and I only own it because of work, so I wasn't going to go out and buy something new.

Well, the hair would just be freshly washed/set and blown straight. What else could I do with it?
Do you have a suggestion for a fancy headband?

Those Jewish stores always sell fancy headbands, I think a lot regular stores do as well. You can put your hair in a half-up-do.

I always wonder how that stuff would look on real-life people. The models on these headband sites always wear their hair in ways that everyday people don't. Especially people that wear falls.

Right, but do you actually see women in the streets wearing headbands the way the models on that site are wearing them?
I'm sure in super-trendy places you may see people wearing headbands that way, but most ordinary people aren't able to pull that look off. Especially with hair that hasn't been "done" for a photo shoot.
I look stupid with a headband wrapped completely around my hair - I need the back of the headband to be underneath my hair, and that's the way that most women need to wear a headband with a fall.

absolutely you can! Get a really pretty headband. If you wear a dark shaitel, get a lighter one and vice versa if you are a blondie. Also take into account what you are wearing. Single girls wear headbands to weddings. Why is it taboo to wear a band fall?

OK, thank you everybody for the vote of confidence
Now I just need to find the right headband. I am wearing a light greenish-greyish-bluish kind of gown, but don't have any extra material to make a headband out of it.

Haha. I am a very laid-back person but I cannot in a million years imagine wearing a snood to a wedding . A fancy hat, yes but a snood?!

To me, snoods look like something you'd wear after a shower or into the pool. . . not something that's appropriate to wear to a wedding.
Once I was at a wedding and this lady wore a snood which FLEW off her head while dancing. Woops!

I don't like snoods either.
