Does anyone use one? Is it good? How often do you use it? Can you use it EVERYWHERE?
I'm looking into getting one...

I have one. It is really great on my underarms - hardly hurts at all! I do not use it on my legs becasue it is too painful and I can get them nice and smooth shaving, but you can cetainly use it there. I also use on my private area - only the top half though.

I use one. At first it hurts - a lot.
I don't use it all the time because it takes a lot of time. Origianlly I planned on doing it before mikva because the hair needs a little growth to work. But I became preg so that plan didn't work.
It hurts less each time. The hair definetly grew in finer then with shaving. It was also smoother then with shaving. The first 24 hours there are red bumps but they go away.
I use it pretty high up my leg but stop there. The higher I go the more it hurts.

I've always been terrified to try it on my underarms. Maybe now I'll give it a try.

I use one, its great - but a little tedious. I find that the longer the hair is the more it hurts - so do it often, it will go quicker and hurt less. I use it on my legs - amazingly smooth, I find its better than waxing because it can pick up the shortest tiniest hairs that waxing cant. I also use it around my bikini line, I dont go in too deep cuz than it hurts too much - but it can be done, I would assume if you make the hairs really short first it wont be so bad - maybe shave first and than try to epilate afew days later as it starts to grow back. Same with underarms.

I think braun have a model that works underwater. the newer ones you can use everywhere, but one I bought years ago was only meant for legs.

OP here
Was thinking of switching from waxing. I have been getting bikini waxes, but I'm preg now, and the area's really really sensitive and so waxing hurts so much! Do you think it's worth it?

OP again
(I shave my legs, arms, etc., so I figured if I got an epilator, I'd switch it all to that - it seems to last much longer...)

Its an electric device with tons of tiny tweezers that go round and round and grap the individual hairs and yank them out at the roots.
Look for it on Amazon. Many of them have pictures of it.

Can it be used on facial (specifically chin) hair?

They make special ones for facial hiar. There are also ones that can multitask and do everything.

really like it, but it does take a lot of time.
Great tip: use dermaplast to numb your underarms before epilating them. That's the only way I could do it. I really like using it on my forearms

I bought mine on Amazon. I figured the price came out to less then 2 full leg waxes ($50) so it was worth it if I just used it for that.

I also bought mine on amazon. (about $99) there are lots of different models out there with lots of diffrent features, so read reviews carefully before you buy.
mine is a braun and has several different heads for diffrent areas of the body. It also comes with a trimmer/shaver head.

I also have a braun! They are great and last a long time. I have been using an epilator for my underarms, legs, bikini line and sometimes face for the past 8 yrs or so and I have only had to replace it once. Definatly worth the price - I ordered mine on Amazon - you will get more of a selection online rather than in stores where the store will on carry certain brands or only have a few in stock.
The pain gets better with time. But I find that if I shave in between an epliating session the pain is a lot worse.
