I know that ladies have an obligation in the mitzvah of purim but out of all the yom tovim I never really enjoyed purim as much. Somehow it seems more of a man mitzvah. Can someone tell me something really inspiring/practical so I can go into purim with the right attitude?

Esther! She saved the Jewish people! The megillah is named for her!
(Maybe I'll put something more inspirational together later.)

by reading and learning about it, maybe listening to shiurim online or tapes
fantastic:
Quote: | Let My Nation Live
The Story of the Jewish Deliverance in the Days of Mordechai and Esther - Based on Talmudic and Midrashic Sources
By Yosef Deutsch
can be read and enjoyed by frum and not-frum alike, reads like an engrossing novel!

Why a mans mitzva??? We hear megilla, are mechuev mm, Maybe cause the men have more fun on Purim????
I do not sit in the house on Purim. Every MM is ready set to go. No work on Purim. If I would be in the kitchen putting together mm, and cooking, I wouldn't enjoy it either.
