How about a nice necklace for the 12th grader, something not too fancy that she can bring to Seminary with her. They also sell sterling silver now which is much cheaper and looks the same. Also a personalized siddur or machzorim. Also if there is something that she wants that you never got her now is the time.

for 8th grader I think jewelry is nice or a leather tehilim siddur if shes the sort
for 12th grader I think jewelrys silly cuz what can u really get for 200
but u can get a good digital camera or even a flip
if shes the sort an I phone or jsut a gift certificate for whatever shes into

my mother got all of us bracelets when we graduated 8th grade (they were prob not as expensive... I know I went with her to pick out one for one of my sis and it was 60) and when we graduated 12th earings (which were more expensive maybe like 300 but im sure you can find something nice for 200...) lots of luck!
