I am graduating college now and am giving my mother and mother in law a gift because they both helped me alot to be able to get through school. They babysat my kids and one of them helped financially, and they were both great support in general. Now I want to write a short poem to go together with the gift but I am really not good at this. Can anyone help me with this? I would greatly appreciate it!

Maybe look online for something - I generally have a lot of luck when I do such searches.
Good Luck!

If you can't write a poem that sounds personal--because it seems you have a lot to say that is personal, then don't.
something like this probably sounds better just written out. This is not something you want to make light and fluffy.
And mazal tov on your graduation!

(off of a card I once gave)
Grandmother
What could be more precious
than Grandma's special love?
She always seems to know the things
that we are fondest of.
She's always ready with a smile
or a loving word of praise,
Her laughter always brightens up
the cloudiest of days...
She has an understanding heart
that encourages and cheers.
The love she gives so freely
grows deeper with the years.
Her wisdom and devotion
are blessings from above-
Nothing could be more precious
than Grandma's special love.
Thank you for always being there for us when Mommy was out studying!
Hugs & Kisses (the kids)
