YALT- we were going to donate it. We had an inch or two less than their standard, but the website said that's also OK. But I also read that they don't use all the hair for kids with cancer. The hair that isn't needed at the time is sold and the $ goes to benefit their org.
Now, I would have donated if I knew they'd use it for a wig for a child, but wasn't willing to part with it for an unknown purpose.
