I just bought the game Cranium for a cousin's daughter. There are lots of nice games and craft activities for girls that age. At Target.com you can search for gifts by age and gender of the recipient and I saw lots of good stuff there.

I got my triplet cousins scrabooking kits- it included an album and sheets of papers, and some matching lettering. I got them each their own and I got it in amazing savings.

Give her a Visa gift card or a gift certificate to a Jewish book store in whatever amount you wish- then she can buy whatever she wants with that money
