They were all the rage last summer and into the winter. Now I see they're still in the stores for spring/summer.
I personally don't have any, but DD does and is worried that the style will change. (I just don't think they're flattering on someone my age, with hips!)
What do you think?

She's a teenager, so I can't argue with her, but that's the reason I DON'T BUY stylish clothing. I buy what I can wear year in and year out without looking too freaky!

I don't think that's the only other option. You can buy things with character and not have to buy a new wardrobe every year. You should look for clothing that looks good on you, brings out your personality, and is not just what's "in." What's "in" is not always what actually looks good. For me I love color and try to get as much pink or green in my clothing because it makes me happy.
