Hakaros HaTov is what I am doing right now, I am trying to put together some of my favorite recipies that are tried and true. Really as a thank you to all of you whose recipies have become apart of my shabbos meals.
I will keep updating this thread as I more time.

Choc. Chop applesauce cake

Mix together: 1 ½ C. sugar, 2 eggs, 1/2C. oil
Add: 16 oz. can applesauce, shake of cinnamon, ½ tsp. vanilla
Add: 2C. flour, ½ tsp. salt, 1 ½ tsp. baking soda, 2 Tbsp. cocoa

Grease: 9x13

Sprinkle on top: 3 Tbsp. sugar, ½ C. nuts, 6 oz. choc.chips

Bake 350 for 35 mins.


Yummy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Dry: 2 ¼ C. flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. salt
Beat in: 1 C. Crisco, ¾ C. sugar, ¾ C. brown sugar
Beat in: dry ing + 1 tsp. vanilla, ½ tsp. water, 2 eggs, 12 oz. chips, 1 C. nuts (optinal)

Bake @ 375 for 10 mins. ( I take them out exactly at 10 mins, and let them finish baking out of the oven it makes for a really soft and chewy cookie)

Apple Kugal

Mix: 4 C. Flour, 2 sticks Marg. (melted) 2 eggs, 1 C. sugar, 3 tsp. vanilla

Spray 9x13 pan with Pam, pat 3/4th dough on bottom and bake @350 for 10-15 mins.

Meanwhile peel and dice 6-8 apples, add ½ C. sugar, 1 tsp. lemon juice, sprinkle cinn.

Once crust is cooled pour in apple mixture, crumble rest of dough on top and sprinkle vanilla sugar.

Bake 1 hour

Cranberry Crisp

1 can whole cranberry crisp
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
4-5 apples peeled & diced
mix together in bowl

1 C. flour
1 C. rolled oats
2/3 C. brown sugar
1 stick marg.
cinnamon
mix together in sep. bowl

spray 8x8 with Pam
pat 3/4th dough on pan, add fruit mixture, crumble rest of dough on top
put something underneath
bake @ 350 for 1 hour


Dairy Quiche
Spinach, broccoli, or mushroom

Batter: 4 eggs, 1 ½ C. milk or soymilk, 3 Tblsp. Flour, ¼ tsp. salt, ¼ tsp. dried mustard
Dash of thyme, pepper, garlic, salt

Layer into pieshell:
Cheese, carmelized onion, spinach, chopped tomato, batter, sprinkle paprika

I tried the choc chip cookies yesterday only because mompete affirmed it was good & woohoo!!! really really delicious!!! it kind of tastes like softblend cookies.
I took them out @ exactly 10 min - I dont know if my oven is off but I would've left it in 2 more minutes (it tasted a little raw by me)- but came out so sooooooft & yum! thank you!!!
keep those recipes coming Wink
next im going to try the applesauce cake but maybe I'll be smart & do it after pesach Smile

Cookies sound delicious! Anyone have a recipe for cookies with no margerine or cristco in it?? or it doesn't exsist?!!
