This is a sweater I'm knitting for my 3-year old son. These pieces are the back of the sweater, and the sleeve.

wow love the sweater! I want to learn to knit.
I love sewing, but I haven't touched the machine in a while. I need to finish the alef bais chart and duvets for my babies room, before they are grown ups!
great stuff from everyone!

The dress was McCall's 4243 with an extra ruffle added on the bottom for my ruffly girl! I just did a narrow hem on the sleeves. (Like this ebay auction)

The skirt was Simplicity 5351. (Like this using the long option)

The Barbie dress came from a mishmash of online patterns! The sleeves were designed to not have any gathering, I sewed them in flat and then did the side seams after - down the sleeve and then down the side of the dress.

Here's more examples that I took pictures of. Nothing is perfect as I'm teaching myself by learning from my mistakes. Almost everything has something to match for her dolls.

I made this top to match the skirt by cutting up a plain white top and adding matching fabric. I only made a barbie skirt to match so far.

This was for her doll only

She has a matching jumper/dress but I can't find it so here's her matching doll's dress:

I just bought material for the Purim costumes so I'm really excited to start.

Some great looking sewing, and other creations.

As others have said, sewing is not so complicated. It can be challenging, but well worth the effort. Especially when you can make your own clothes.
