Despite the deluge at 7 a.m., the weather cleared quite nicely and the sun was shining by noon. A low-key trip to the mall in Petach Tikvah and then across the street to the massive playground there and my kids (even the teenagers!) were happy. We met up with Tamiri and most of her family. I think a great time was had all around.

A small part of the playground. There is another section similar to this in addition to several other smaller 'stations'.

You can see this attracted adults as well as kids.

Family slide

If his sisters and some random little girl hadn't come over and bothered him, Nati would have probably spent an hour squatting there, playing with the abacus.

Crawling through a tube

Going down a slide

Can you see what a miserable time he had?

Come on in, Ima!

Yesha, we'll be in that area tomorrow. Where is it exactly? I've never been to the mall there. I assume the mall has kosher eateries with sukkahs, right? Anyone else want to go meet us?

It's Kenyon haGadol. To the right, between Basil and Derech Rav Malka is the park. The entrance to the playground is opposite the mall.

I don't know if or how many of the restaurants are Mehadrin, but I DO know there's a Sukkah off the food court (the food court off the movie theaters).

I had enough of Petach Tikva for the day: the park, double round of bowling and then shopping. Sorry MandKsIma, count me out.

Nati isn't so sure about the merry go round... Tamiri's youngest, Micha is in the background, waving him on :)

Your daughter (I'm guessing she's the oldest) looks exactly like you! At first I thought I recognised her from somewhere and then I realised it's from pictures you've posted of yourself!

I could cry, why do I live in these shtinky states! (no need to reply, I get this feeling every now and then) Although we have huge grassy parks easily accessible, nowhere do they have these magnificent huge contraptions that my kids would spend all day on!
