What do 3 family homeowners do about garbage pickup when not home the preceding evening, so they cant put the bags at the curb?
Do people pay their tenants, or ask for a favor, to put the garbage out?
If they pay, how much do they pay, if its a regular thing?
If you put the garbage out before the evening before pickup day, you get ticketed.

You can ask a neighbor or a family member to move your garbage to the curb (the same way you would ask someone to take in your mail or even move a car for alternate side). We tip our garbage men very well every year so we might be able to put ours out early and not get ticketed. In our neighborhood the garbage men are more chilled.

I just called our City Council office (in BP) and they said lately sanitation dept has been very agressive about ticketing when people put their garbage out even a few hours early. This has nothing to do with the Sanitation pickup people.

When we go away we ask one of our tenants to do it. When it's more than just a couple of times (we were away for 3 months once) we took $50 off the monthly rent to have them do it.
