What are alo socks ? A brand or a type of sock?

I had no idea what "alo socks" were, so I googled.
$30 for a pair of short crew socks? OMG, I could buy a pack of 3-6 pairs for the same price at Target or Delta.
Are people just looking for new ways to spend money?

Yes, Alo is in style and expensive because you are paying for a name brand.
Personally, I don’t have these socks but I see people who do. It’s important for some people to wear name brands and be in style.

Isn't a certain look the trend? So if I can get the exact same socks but from a different brand and get the same look, why would that be considered less trendy?

Here any type of fashion sneaker (the bottom photo is not a fashion sneaker it's a sports shoe) Adidas, Nike, puma, and I see alot of American eagle and Nike crew socks.
These are my daily observations of high schoolers on my bus in the mornings and afternoons lol. Women here still wear flats.

They are socks that don’t show above the top of sneakers/shoes. They cover everything regular socks do but stop below the ankle or right at the ankle.
