Haha we’re not being home for the first days so I’m not cooking now for shabbos chol hamoed or second days especially since I’m waiting to turn over until after shabbos. They are home anyway and honestly might be easier than watching over them all day like a hawk that they don’t find any chometz and bring it out of the kitchen.
And they are home so I’m not working much anyway (trying to make up the hours at night but it’s not going to happen even if I’m home)
About the not sleeping part yeah.. that’s always the big downer any time we go away but it comes with the territory

I would say go to Mahwah area so that you're close enough to Monsey for food.
