Has anyone bought it? It’s an absolutely stunning piece and I’d love to buy it for my father but I want to hear from others first before I purchase it

I don't have it and you can accept or reject my cheerfully biased opinion, but I wouldn't want it if I got it free. It will get stained and look filthy in no time.
I'm also confused. What is "Leatherite"? The ad copy says it's leather. If it's genuine leather you'd have to pay me to use it. At least pleather you can wipe off with a damp shmattah and it'll look ok until it gets stained by something oily or colored. Red wine, anyone? You have to be insane to use anything leather with food, which will ruin it faster than you can say the words "Mah Nishtanah." You can't wash leather, and salt water is not healthy for it.
