I recently was at a Simcha and there was a strawberry shortcake there that tasted out of this world!! It was so light and fluffy...
Now we have a big birthday coming up in the family and I'd love to get it, but I have no clue where it was from.
Any ideas? I know it was from somewhere in Lakewood, but I'm new here and am unfamiliar with the bakeries.

Are you able to call the baal simcha and ask her where they got the cake from? Even if it was the caterer who supplied it, maybe you could get the information with a few calls.

There isn't an address in their website, where can I pick up the schucks cake? Expensive but might be worth it!

It’s most prob shucks. The best cake ever. You need to call before and order, you can’t just walk in. FYI they make it in half size and also small round individuals but it’s more enjoyable to have a nice slice from the largest size cake

They have one for $65 that’s a decent size that’s what we got for a kiddush and it was enough. Definitely big enough for a family. I think they have a pickup option but you have to call to order it’s not a bakery you can just show up.

It’s a toss up between shucks and Leah Pilchik. Both really good
When I have a simcha, I usually go with Schuks because I order a few cakes in different flavors

So funny. We found Schuck’s strawberry sauce had a grainier texture- maybe from the sugar
