We had some cloud cover but we were able to watch right from our front lawn. We live in Hamilton which is an hour from Niagara Falls. It was a bit iffy but when we got to totality it was very clear and we Had great views.

Really such an incredible thing to experience and basically In my own home.

Lucky you! Smile

How long ago did you first hear about this eclipse?
Is this the first solar eclipse you've watched?
Would you consider traveling to see another eclipse in the future?

Do you live in a city that typically gets tourists?
Did tourists come to visit your city to see the eclipse?
Was traffic in your neighborhood heavier than usual? Were there road closures? Were the roads harder to navigate than usual?

I don’t actually think I knew much before a month ago or so when an effort to hand out 600 k glasses was announced. This is the first I watched and now understand why people find it so compelling! I would consider travelling in future but that’s probably a pipe dream 😀

Traffic on my street was probably lighter because the school was closed. According to Waze, traffic wasn’t affected. It was anticipated we’d get 200 k visitors. We are not usually a tourist place. I was cleaning a lot today and didn’t Go out, so not sure what traffic actually looked like but I’d imagine that areas around parks were probably congested after the end.

It was really very special!
