And what's your family size? Do you shop carefully or spend on an expensive item just because you need it for one or 2 recipes?

I spend about 1500. Family of 6. But I do Overbuy if the prices are good to use after. I shop sales. And we don't eat much meat. I don't buy the fancy overpriced stuff.

Do you want matza and wine reflected in this amount? Because I probably spend as much on those as on all the rest.

I just finished making my shopping lists and cost estimates for this year.
We will probably spend about $2,500 this year on food (including matzah, wine, meat, fish, produce) and paper goods. We are 13 people, unknown number of guests. We don't use any processed foods and only produce that can be peeled.
I shop pretty carefully. But the amounts are huge. We go through hundreds of pounds of produce.
(Last year was closer to $4,000, so I guess we're doing pretty well this year.)

On average, we spend 2k. Some years, more and some less. We don't use plastic goods or spend on wines (allergic to them). We're a family of 5.

Probably around $2500 but that’s without matzah so maybe around $3000 (not sure how much matzah is)
We’re a family of 6 but we host every year. I think this year we’re hosting 4 people for the entire Yom Tov.

But don't you have to buy staples that you ordinarily just have in your pantry? That adds up by me.

About $1000 but I order for subsidized chicken and meat that should last for a few months so not really just Pesach goods .

Not anything more than id buy during the weeks. So instead of pretzels or other snacks, id buy chips instead. Really, and no more that id usually buy.

Don’t you need to buy salt, sugar, spices, new coffee, tea…. Everything!

About $2500 excluding wine and matzah. Don’t know how it will be this year , if prices are more inflated . Family of 7 plus one or two guests daily
