I am planning a trip with DH to the Cancun area and trying to keep it as low-pritzus as possible. Obviously I know that any beach destination will have some level of bikinis, but we are ok with a sparsely populated beach and moderately quiet hotel/resort vs a place that has a full beach and every corner you turn you bump into a crowd of bikinis.
I've heard the Banyan Tree Mayakoba is pretty quiet as well as Nizuc. Has anyone been to the Hyatt Ziva and can comment on the pritzus/busy-ness level there?

The entire Mexico is a pretzus situation.
People wearing bikinis on the streets is considered normal there.
We went in one of the most non vacation weeks and walking to the chabad house we must have passed two dozen people in bathing suit wear on the street.
If this is something that concerns you then Cancun is not the right option.
I feel like playa was better on the street, but it depends on the area you're at.

This is such a mystery to me. I’m RW MO. We live in a major US city (so not insulated at all) and we watch tv and movies etc. but my husband would never go to a beach resort.. Ever. As he says it’s just not a place for a frum guy.
OP if for some reason you ‘must’ go rent an Airbnb so you have your own private pool.
