It would probably work if you made accordion pleats, rather than just sew them straight shut.

I think it would work fully closed if you are used to walking in straight skirts. If you have a straight denim or other non stretchy material skirt and can walk in that, I think it could definitely work. Very pretty!

Thanks! I guess I have to decide. I'm more of a comfortable easy clothes kind of person. But this dress is so pretty...
