I usually match socks to outfit but noticed that most people match to shoes. Am I the odd one out?

What do you do?

I buy shoes that match everything. Winter is usually black, summer is beige or off white.

Im not buying multiple pairs of shoes to match each outfit. Socks I get some cute ones but I also try to keep things generic so they work for different outfits but much easier to match socks and bows to outfits than shoes.

Match to shoes. My kids usually have light tan shoes with the same color socks. Looks good to everything.

Never heard of matching to shoes and most adult women I know do like I do. No matching to outfit either.

Talking about kids. Adults usually wear hose with shabbos clothing so the only that can be matched is shoes.

Whoops.
But lets say shoes are pink and outfit is blue and white.
What would you do then?
Still pink or ok with white?

No I wouldnt do pink shoes with a blue and white dress.

Why not have a generic pair of shoes in tan or white for dresses that dont match the fun color shoes?

White socks
This is why I stick with neutral colored shoes, the socks go with everything.

My toddlers also have pink shoes because why be boring lol.

I dress them really well I think (and seems like from feedback/ what I see around me).

Colored shoe+ colored outfit = white socks. Colored socks are usually a chassidish thing where I live (probably cuz they wear tights? So they’re into chambray etc). Not in a bad way but none of my friends put tan or navy socks weekday.

So pink shoe, pink dress, white sock
Pink shoe, white and blue dress, white sock

Shabbos I get the best match to the shoes.

Match shoes.
I like to buy more neutral colors or colors that generally go with everything like red, black, navy, white, beige, tan, denim or chambray.

If my kid had pink shoes I'd still match shoes.

Get ankle length socks. So they stick out like 1/4" - 1/2" out of the shoes. This way it's basically one with the shoe.

Yes pink socks. Assuming we are talking light pastel pink and not hot pink.

Maybe slightly ot but one life hack I learned is to get socks all exactly the same style and color for each kid, and it saves you tons of time on putting away laundry. I've so far managed to implement it for myself, but not yet for kids. I've tried but didn't immediately find packs of multiple of same color for kids, and then I didn't want to throw away the ones that are good that we use. But when I next buy more, that's what I'll look out for.

We do something similar for kids' underwear, but we sort it by brand instead of color. Delta = 1 kid; Tamnoon = another kid; H&M = another kid, etc.

For socks it gets tricky if you have a lot of kids. Black, white, grey, navy -- okay fine, but then what? Beige? Red? Pink? What kid is going to wear only red socks for 18 years? Confused

White socks.
And I live in town and am fully aware that the trend is to match shoes. I just don't think it always looks great. Really depends on the outfit and shoe
