In New Jersey we get a lot more for disability so it's worth it to First Take 6 weeks of disability and then you can get up to another 12 weeks on top of that of Paid Family Leave, technically.
The 12 weeks NJ Family Leave is only if it's taken in one block. It can be taken on an intermittent basis all through the first year but then it's only 8 weeks' worth.
