I never heard of the concept of tipping teachers until this site. Is this a Brooklyn and Lakewood thing? Rebbies we do but I didn’t know it’s a thing for teachers.

I never heard of tipping teachers on Purim. (Baltimore) And only started tipping rebbeim in their mm recently. Oops

It depends. Where I am (Baltimore) some do and some don’t. Just like for Rav of a shul.

I live in Passaic, we tip the rebbeim only.
We give to all morahs and teachers as well as rebbeim on Chanuka.
