DD is in seminary there and gaining a lot of weight. As a result, she doesn’t fit into her clothing and she feels really down in the dumps. I was happy that she asked if I can find her a dietician/nutritionist in Yerushalayim.

Can anyone recommend one? I’m not going through insurance so out of pocket is fine.

Thanks in advance!

She has no access to Zoom so it would have to be in person, in Yerushalayim.

this is not a personal recomedation , just found it in the newcomers guide

Nutrition with Faigy
055-674-1524

[I removed the second business mentioned. That owner has threatened legal action against Imamother for negative reviews, and therefore Yael has decided that it is only fair that this person should not receive positive reviews on this site either. - mod]

The second reference is not allowed on this site.

It makes a lot more sense to go to someone who is aware of local food options, anyway.

What health insurance does she have? If she is on one of the kupot cholim, she can probably go through them.

Thank you so much to everyone that posted suggestions! I will look into them tomorrow.

If anyone else has personal experience or more recommendations I’ll take those too.

I have personal experience with one of them mentioned, not positive.

Her Em Bayit might be a useful resource. Maybe she knows of local people, or where seminary girls ha w been in the past.

She has Maccabee (?) through the seminary. In the US you generally get what you pay for so I can’t make money a priority with this. She’s really unhappy.

I think the eim bayis is a good suggestion. I’ll ask dd tomorrow if she minds that I call or if she’d rather not involve anyone irl.

Are you comfortable PMing me? I would post with my username and take it down afterwards. This is important to do (and to me) and I can’t afford to mess it up.

That would be ideal. Not too close to where she is but easily accessible and near relatives.
