does anyone else distinctly see colors when they think of numbers and words?
I have this. Different numbers and words are different 'flavors' and 'colors' in my head. I will not like certain name combinations or words because the colors dont match in my head...
whenever I describe it to people the they think I'm crazy but I know its a real brain thing that some people have.. and just curious if anyone else here is with me??

Yes very distinctly. I am a very visual and creative person and an artist. My mother does as well, and my son who takes after me does too (we disagree on some of the colors though)
My super musical but not artistic husband and other children have no idea what I’m talking about
It’s pretty common with artistic people

Sometimes when I think of a word or ppl speaking I imagine the way their mouth moves or the way the words sounds as their mouth moves
Or when I see a word spelled out
lol I think it’s weird I think this way

Yes, that is synesthesia, it is normal and harmless. Some brains do this, some don't.
