When a recipe calls for a tube pan, what's the purpose of the tube specifically? Can I use a bundt pan instead ?

Tube pans are usually better for light, airy cakes like angel food. And they tend to stick more with bundt shapes. If you are making a demser cake, you could use a bundt pan.
Tube puans also tend to be deeper, so you need to make sure the bundt pan has a similar capacity.

Thanks. I used a tube pan. A disposable one. Cake is very light and airy. Was just wondering.
