We don’t go overboard but we don’t budget. My husband buys what he feels is must mehudar. Def not the place to cut back!
I think his esrog was about $300 this year

I do not limit my husband in this. He is generally very frugal but a mehudar esrog is really important to him. He spends hours, going back again and again before deciding. I like to assume it brings brocha to our home and family.

It's totally my husband's business. I trust him.
