OK still not sold but at least this answer is relevant
If you don't live in the EU there's no need to follow it. My baby slept in the stroller until 5 months.

Just a few links from amazon warehouse:

Since I have no idea if any of those strollers are safe for overnight sleeping, here are some warehouse deals on regular bassinets and cribs- I chose cribs that can be used for long term.

Where do you keep the baby during the day? The floor isn't safe because there are other kids around. And how can you leave a newborn in a snap n go all day? It's a carseat, no? Is lay flat safe for a newborn?

You cannot keep a baby in stroller or bassinet all day. Or a car seat.

It depends on the age, and a bassinet is very different from the other two options. You absolutely can keep a newborn in a bassinet all day, they can even have tummy time in there etc.

why would you keep a newborn in a bassinet all day? newborns need to be held and touched

Did you read this whole thread? I don't think this is what OP or anyone means. It's a discussion between the different options, bassinet or not.

To me "all day" in this context means between feeds, when putting baby down, for naps etc. The normal amount of time a newborn spends out of a mother's arms. And yes car seat isn't great, stroller is better but not amazing, and bassinet is best, of those 3 options.

I have this one:

Baby Jogger City Tour Lux. Comes with bassinet. No, it’s not the best stroller in the world. But it totally works. My baby slept in it during the day. At night he had a separate bassinet. The push is not bad, and it works for all-terrains and folds pretty nicely. All in all, great value for the price.

I can hold my baby most of the day and still want a bassinet to put my baby down in when she naps.

Comes with a separate bassinet or the seat folds into a bassinet?

(anon bc haven't announced my pg yet)

Separate bassinet. It doesn’t include the car seat or glider board that are pictured, those have to be bought separately.

The bassinet stroller is baby's home for the first few months... how do you put a newborn in a standard stroller? Not to mention, it will be the baby's crib (can't afford a separate crib) until the baby outgrows it.

I haven’t read past this yet, so I apologize if someone mentioned this already.
For my baby, I had two places for him to sleep- an on bed cosleeper for in my room, and a bassinet type thing for the living room. One I was gifted and one I bought, but neither was very expensive. The in bed cosleeper is portable, so if I didn’t have the thing in the living room I would have just used that. He used both until approximately 7m.
The stroller I bought has a bassinet with it, but I only used it a hand full of times.

Mockingbird.
It’s a great stroller. You have to buy it directly from company. That’s why it’s cheaper.

I looked it up- one stroller review company raves over it and another calls it heavy and hard to fold and recommends a vista instead. I’m confused. How does it really perform?

Vista is pretty much as heavy as they come. If you're looking for lightweight, the answer is neither.
Don't know about the fold but you can usually watch review videos to get a sense of how they work.

Have a Bee in good condition. Looking for a carriage stroller. I’m not so picky about lightweight.

There are some random ones on Amazon - does anyone know if those are good quality?

I can't afford an expensive stroller, but a stroller is a necessity. I don't know what to do.

If you’re in the lakewood area I’m happy to lend you my uppababy bassinet and bassinet stand for as long as you need. I just finished using it for my baby

This is so kind. I was also lucky enough to have a friend lend me hers, and my baby was very comfortable in it for night and day sleeping, til around three months. Probably a more petite baby can go longer. As far as strollers, I buy mine second hand on offer up or Facebook marketplace. A second hand high end stroller in excellent condition is far superior to a new, cheap stroller.

A bassinet is flat. If it is rated for sleep, she can keep the baby there while the baby is sleeping. Why is this a problem? People do have to do things like make supper and use the restroom and pay attention to other kids.
