Anyone have a really good first cut brisket recipe where the meat is moist/tender? (That’s the cut that is on sale this week..).

first cut is a very tough meat even if you cook for a long time its still not going to be moist/tender
youre better off going with 2nd cut

I make the tangy spiced brisket from Smitten Kitchen using a first cut brisket. It’s delicious. Not tough at all. It slices more like a roast and doesn’t fall apart.

Recipe looks great but I wonder who sliced and photographed the roast. 🙈 It's been cut on the grain, which as you can see dries out the meat immediately. (Even though the recipe says slice against the grain.)

Looks like a good recipe. Have you made it before? Does the meat taste acidic from the balsamic vinegar?

The spices and honey definitely balanced it out, but next time I would probably leave out some of the balsamic
