Today was day 2 of potty training BH and we are going away on Sunday BeH. Any tips when traveling in airport/airplane with a newly potty trained toddler? Is it a bad idea that I'm potty training so close to going away on vacation :/

It's not a great idea, tbh.

I know you're not going to want to hear this, but I would put the diaper back on and start again when you come home.

Potty training & travel, don't work together. He won't be newly potty trained by Sunday, he'll be in the process. It will be easier on him and you if you put him in diapers till you get home.

I vote for pullups. Not ideal but it makes it easier to take the kid to a public restroom and allow them to use the toilet when needed. I think that diapers send a confusing message to a child in the midst of training.

Yeah he won't be trained by Sunday. Unless you have a unicorn toddler
Agree with pushing off toilet training

On the other hand, toddler might refuse to go in public & airplane bathrooms, and this may make him refuse to go at home once they get back home. Toilet training needs to be with consistency and familiarity. Otherwise it just causes anxiety for the kid.

The other responders are being restrained. It’s a downright terrible idea.

Check out the potty training consultant on Instagram she has tips for this situation. You don’t need to call it quits yet. Good luck!
