I would create an automatic nasty poster consequence - 10 minute timeout for them to have a chance to calm down before posting again

You get a maximum time allowance on Imamother per day before the site kicks you off for the rest of the day. (Time limits can usually be overridden pretty easily, so not always helpful if you’re lazy to do stuff and Imamother is a good distraction  )
Exceptions can be set up with Yael if you’re on bedrest, in the hospital etc and need this for your entertainment and company.

Add an 'I disagree'- button.

A number near the posters name to see how many times they wrote comments
Also the ability to rate posters as helpful being a five and rude a zero. It might encourage more polite discourse
