I used to love it - break from my work, and the extra day allowed me to fully relax.
Now that I need to use vacation days for YT and my kids go stir crazy being cooped up and I don't have company for them, it's not the same anymore.

I enjoy the time to relax and read and spend time with family. But not being able to out on makeup really, really bothers. I feel half dressed without it. I don't like wearing long lasting makeup and having stuff on my face for 3 days straight. So I basically have a bare face (I do put on some eyeliner and mascara)

No way are you alone I love it!! Last year was the best, almost every holiday was 3 days long  I love being off of work and just chilling with my family

I might, if someone else was cooking for it. And if it didn't come right before finals. I used to love it as a teen, particularly this one, because you get to sleep Shabbos afternoon and can then stay up (I used to study limudei kodesh with my friends.) Dh likes it. I find myself strategizing who I invite for meals to make sure it will be interesting for my kids and line up some automatic playdates. I also have a teen that got traumatized by the three day Yom tov of pesach in 2020, so we're still working through that
I do appreciate that my kids actually have school on this isru chag. It's helpful.

I am in my late 40’s and have always loved 3day YT.
I used to be a stay at home mom and loved them. I currently work full time and love them.
Loved them before I had kids, when my kids were small, and now that DH and I have an almost empty nest-oh wait, I have my elderly, intrusive, knows no boundaries parents.
I just really love YT
ETA-I also love snow days when school is cancelled.

I love it as well. The time off and relaxing. We live down the street from a playground. That being said I make sure to either have guests, go out, or do a potluck cause otherwise I would hate it. I can imagine living in a small community or not around friends would make it very difficult.

Food art.
Make little Har Sinai cakes. Decorate with green frosting and flower sprinkles.
Make Torahs out of fruit leather and pretzels
Make flower out of pineapple and watermelon and cookies cutters and decorate with berries like Edible Arrangements. Just make sure you eat them that day (after you show them off).
Creativity is key.

Can you invite company for meals? Also get a great book and maybe a board game for the 2 of you to play.

We don’t do food art on yt... my kids are too small to appreciate it anyway.
