Omg! wow! I'm about to just leave the the thread to go get a bucket of ice cream to ease my anxiety when I see your list. Wow you're having one yummy meal. Lucky family.

Didn't officially make my menu but it might look more like this.
Night meals: challah, dips, salmon and gefilte fish, chicken soup, potato kugel, cold cuts. this meal x3
shabbos day: fish, eggs, cholent
Yom tov day: fish, tongue, mashed potatoes, salad x2

First day yom tov also kiddish with cheese cakes.

Dessert alternates between bucket ice cream and baked apple

And yes, my list overwhelms me

For the first night and first lunch we usually do a large cheese platter with tons of spreads and different fruits and cracker. I also make a French onion soup. We look forward to it every year!

The first night is not shavuos yet. I see people serving dairy. It’s regular shabbos/ Friday night.

I don’t think people are serving dairy for the shabbos meals, as that’s not shavuos. Shavuos starts Saturday night.

I’m going to guess that you are in E”Y so when you see 2 days, you assume Shabbos & Sunday. I imagine the posters you are looking at are in chutz & are just posting their yom Tov menus (not Shabbos)

Ema of 4 your menu sounds delicious!

Just a little q, Why do you serve same type of food twice in one meal? Do different family members like them differently, if not maybe change them up a bit.
Ex 2x seabass, 2x lamb

Thanks. It’s from my friend so no link.

Just cook a lamb shoulder or any cut or meat (does not have to be lamb) on very low with onions spices and silan. You can make it in a crockpot over night. Shred with fork. Serve over rice or in a taco with lettuce.

Which meal? I want to try to pair it down because I don’t have too much fridge space. My problem is I also want to also cook every delicious recipe I come upon…

Understand my dilemma?

the dairy meal. you have three of my suppers in your one meal!
but totally get you especially if your having guest but my dh taught me to cook less!

the food situation will get too overwhelming especially if not everyone eats a lot(and you'll be upset that you cooked so much), also remember that its after 10 when you start the meal.

I cut down this year because no one eats much food after soup.

depending on your family's preference of what to nick...
you serving salmon as a main course or first?
