OK everyone, 'fess up! What are some of the ridiculous things that you tell your kids or other people so that things will go your way?

One time I was soo mad I told my 5yr old son it's must be the 50th time I've asked you to please sit on the table how can I serve you supper if you r not sitting down.......
Oh gosh I relized only afterwards what I had been saying embarrassed

A woman told me that she would tell her sons a fib whenever the ice cream truck would drive by their house. They would hear the music and ask what it was. She told them it was the truck that says when it's time to go to sleep.

Actually micki it is my son taken 11yrs ago he is though a clone of me except I was a darker edition. Hey it might be fun if I can dig up an old, old, old me Very Happy

sometimes lying to a kid is not so bad like when you tell a child about the tooth ferry I always enjoyed that one since I got a dollar when I woke up and I don't regret it till today.

I don't think that is lying.
The truck IS coming to play music. (and get kids attention to run outside with pocket change too!) we just leave the second part out!!!!!

one of my friends' mother used to pick up all their belongings (not only toys) that were not put away and make them pay her to get them back!

I always end up saying "don't eat with your mouth full".

Most ridiculous thing my mom said to me was "when you get married your skin will clear up." I did and it didn't. Rolling Eyes
