Is Tisha B'Av more lenient than Yom Kippur?

I had a baby on 1 Tishrei and was told only no fasting in the first 3 days. Try for the next 3 days, and after that, no way could you get off it. I had to fast on Yom Kippur, 110* with no air conditioning.

She does not have to fast on Tisha Bav as it is much more lenient.
Had she had a boy she would have a Tisha Bav bris, I know I did!

Yes. A woman who gives birth within 30 days of tisha b'av is not required to fast, as opposed to Yom Kippur - where there is only 3 days leeway.
