my mother came up with this great idea to free up your hands while talking on the phone, without straining your neck. put the cordless phone under your snood/hat/headband by your ear and hook the edge of the snood around the clip on the phone to hold it in place. it takes a minute to figure it out but its great once you've got it in place!!! this trick has saved me so much time cuz I get do so much while chatting. and unlike most headsets, its possible to hear well.

I love that idea. I'm notorious for dropping my phone into the soup (twice) and the sink (many times) on erev shabbos.
I guess, though, that it wouldn't work with a sheitel on.
