I have a large toaster oven that I use for Milchig. I went looking for a good pan to bake lasagna and quiche in for Shavuos. The only thing I found that was about the right size was a silicone pan. Now, when I came home, I see that it needs a little bit of squashing to fit into the oven. I know that silicone can withstand very high temperatures, and it is made to bake in, but does anyone know if it will melt if it is touching the sides of the oven? I don't really want to try it, since it was expensive and if it won't work, I'd rather return it!

Any ideas?!?!?

I would still return it and look in another hardware store or a place they sell pots and pans.

We have at home a silicon pan,I use it for baking sponge cake, it works very good because it's much easier to take out the cake than with traditional methods, and you can store it in a pitcher...

I ALSO use a large toaster/convection oven for milchigs-------- and can fit 9X13 aluminum (disposable) pans inside as long as I fold up JUST the rim of the pan.......

hope this 'method' is of help to others.
