I'm wondering if any imamothers are in the I.T./computer programming field and can give me advice. I'm just starting to think about this field. I don't have a real interest in computers and don't have a background in IT but this field appeals to me because it's in demand here in the U.S. and also in Israel (would love to make aliyah) and pays well. From my understanding, a bachelor's degree is enough to get a good job. Is this correct?
Do I need to be a real techie with lots of experience to succeed in this field? What degree do I need to become a programmer? Do they teach the languages (C+ and Java) as part of the college degree? Can I do the degree online (from a reputable institution)? Could I manage the degree while balancing my mommy responsibilities?
Thanks to anyone who can give me input!
