anyone get the 'real simple' mag? want to convert recipe

Maybe at Realsimple.com but u might have to log in. but the recipe goes s/th like this:

pasta
beef
butter
heavy cream
and other stuff
but I'm just wondering how I can sub the heavy cream also it may have milk.

Here is a recipe for a non-dairy heavy cream substitute:

1/2 block of silken tofu (extra firm) and 1/2 cup of plain soy milk. Blend in blender (do not use mixer) until thick and creamy and there are no more lumps.

You can also use non-dairy sour cream (like Tofutti brand) as a substitute for heavy cream. HTH

I ordered it last year for the first time but am meaning on canceling it. Don't have much time to read it plus don't gain from it at all......... graphics are good though Smile
