So you spread something sweet on it. |
What I was going to write...
Quote: | Anyway, we hold that we should eat something that was especially cooked for that meal each meal. |
That is very beautiful - is there a source of is it your own minhag? We hold you must eat a k'beitza (bedieved a k'zayis) of bread, and fish. Once you get used to it, you get used to it and your yetzer hara moves on to other things . Especially in the summer, but even in the winter.
Really, this is a se'if in the Shulchan Aruch - what is there to argue about?

OK, the Remo for Ashkenazim. Does the Remo hold differently? I think not.
Could you explain what we don't do according to the SA? Except, as I said, if the Remo holds differently for Ashkenazim? Later poskim may clarify a minhag or go into detail about specific situations today, but they don't wipe out seifim in the SA. Can you give an example?

Thank you to everyone who supplied great recipes and menu ideas.
We particularly enjoyed the salmon wellington and sauce (OOTBubby) and spinach borekas (sbs I think).
