Talia here. Thanks for all the responses and support so far.

I had my first meal at like 10:30. I am sort of hungry now. Not horrible, and I am sitting at my office able to get work done, but when I think about it I do feel hungry. Day 1 of Phase 2 here.

How many days 'til the hunger goes away?

I recently heard about this diet. can someone please explain the basics. I have a good 20-30 lbs. to lose. it sounds like people are losing weight very quickly. is this a safe diet and is this something u stop doing eventually?

I just started doing this.

I'm on Phase 2 day 4.
It's tough, but seeing everyone's results makes me want to go ahead!
I don't know what I'll do about Shavuous but I'll have to make it work (I LOVE cheesecake and chocolate and anything dairy)

I only use a cleanser on my face that I rinse right off which they say is fine and lipstick and eye liner and shadow for cosmetics. I should get a moisturizer because it's important to use one and I don't know if mine is oil free.

It's important to be creative with food or try out different recipes. They have so many good ones on the ketomist site.

Instead of amother I'll call myself MICHELLE and identify myself as such anytime I post on this thread.

I too am on day 4. I haven't gained any weight when loading B"H. I think it's because I'm 2.5 months postpartum and nursing my baby. (my dr told me that it's o.k.)
I lost the first day 4lbs
Second day 2.5 lbs
Third day 2.5 lbs
Fourth day 1 lb
That's 10lbs in 4 days!

This is pretty typical in this protocol. I've done 2 rounds a year ago and lost 60 lbs. I got pregnant at the end of the 2nd round, and so cannot tell you about maintenance, but every diet requires that.
While I did gain alot of weight while pregnant, it was definitely less than at my other pregnancies.

I tried regular low carb dieting and exercising every day for a couple of weeks and I did NOT lose an ounce! I know that I have different hormonal issues and that is what prevents weight loss.
It's a lifesaver for people like me who cannot lose weight otherwise.

This protocol(it's not a diet) was something Dr. Simeon discovered with much research it's been in Europe for over 60 years. The hcg that was used, was injected daily and that is not as easy.
This protocol has become popular here since the introduction of Homeopathic HCG. Here's a link to his free ebook so that you can understand the science behind it.

Talia here.

Wow, girlie's mom - we're twins.

Phase 2 day 2 = 2.2 loss for me. I didn't gain on the load days so this is "real" weight loss.

Woke up with no hunger, just a slight headache which by now has gone away. For Shabbos I'm planning on having 1/2 - 2/3 of a whole wheat matza at the meal...skipping the melba toast.

Thanks!
What do you mean by the support site? Which one is that? I provided a link to the ebook?

Here is another link to a site that gives you ideas on how to cook for the hcg protocol.

Check out the Ketomist website. They have a post on how to deal with Shabbos.
It's not easy but doable.

They have a protocol for Shabbos which is accessible through the support site you receive when you purchase. Basically you eat the same food spaced out for our Shabbos meals and you wash on whole wheat matza (using whatever shiur you hold by). You should use dry wine.

OK - Talia here for Post Shabbos check up.

Phase 2 Day 4: -4.4 in the two days as I couldn't weigh in on Shabbos.

Total weight loss: 6.6 pounds. All real weight loss since I didn't gain on loading. 6.6 POUNDS IN 3 DAYS OF DOING THIS!

And I feel great - no more hunger or headaches!

I'm so thrilled with this.
