My favorite cake is the white bundt cake frosted half vanilla half chocolate.

Anyone have a great recipe for pareve white cake that I can use as the base? I still haven't found a great basic white cake recipe!!

But aren't most of the mixes dairy now?

Batya, when there's money to be made, there are Jews involved, lol ....

Just as Duncan Hines became dairy, Pillsbury brought over their Israeli cake mixes, plus there are other brands that are parev; Gefen, Manischewitz, etc.

The ones I've tried are quite good, too!

2 eggs
1 cup suga
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c nondairy creamer
1 1/2 Tablespoons margerine

grease and flour an 8 by 8 inch square pan. preheat oven 350. place eggs in bowl and beat on low till frothy. add sugar and beat on high till creamy and lemon colored. stir in flour, baking powder and salt.
in a saucepan, heat creamer with margerine until boiling. add to batter, beating to combine. pour into pan and bake for 1/2 hour. remove from oven and let cool for 10 mins.

Good luck!

has anyone tried this recipe? I'm wondering if it tastes good? most parve white mixes that I've tried end up tasting pretty bland. any hopes in this one?
