Dh's grandfather took it upon himself to only eat in a succhah when fighting in WWII in Europe and he says it always worked out. After that his children and grandchildren have tried to take upon themselves to only eat in a succah (if the weather is good) as a sort of hakaros hatov for him coming home safely. So...DH only eats in the succoh. During chol hamoed if he has to go into work he eats a huge breakfast beforehand and doesn't eat until he comes home

What about the men who have to go to work on Chol Hamoed? What do they do? Even if you buy an inflatable sukkah (at $150 for two days or so??), there is not always a place at work to put it. What do men do?
