1 head shredded cabbage
3/4 C sliced scallions
1 C chopped red pepper
2 15oz cans of mandarin oranges (I used less)
2 C honey roasted peanuts or cashews
Dressing:
1/2 C oil
2 Tbsp. sesame oil
2 Tbsp. peanut butter
1/2 C rice vinegar
1/4 C sugar
2 tsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. grated fresh ginger
My guests went crazy over this salad!

It sounds deliciously fattening. I'm going to make it for Shabbos. If I use dried ginger, how much do you suggest? Thanks!!

Sounds delicious! Did you make it with peanuts or cashews?

Bubby. . .oh, fattening it most certainly is! I used dry ginger, as I'm way too lazy to use fresh ginger! I used 1 tsp of ginger, I have no idea if that was correct but it tasted great anyways!
BennysMommy- I used the peanuts. . .then my kids finished off the rest of the jar!

There is only one child who is allergic, and he just cant eat them-they can be on the table-a 12 year old who is pld enuf to know not to eat the salad. And I will have a sign up too-just in case.

Can anyone tell me how many ppl this salad feeds?
I plan on making it for Shabbos Kiddush for about 30
I chose 4 salads from imamother! will doubling each be enuf?

I would double the recipe. w/ 4 salads, I dont think you'll need even that much. (but 1 x seems a bit too little)
